There Is No Clear Instructional Model for AI in Schools
AI has entered the classroom faster than any prior technology.
- Some schools are experimenting.
- Some teachers are innovating.
But there is no clear, shared approach.
Students are using it. Teachers are navigating it. But most districts are still missing one critical piece:
A clear instructional approach for how AI should shape student thinking.
So what happens instead?
AI becomes:
- A shortcut to answers
- A substitute for effort
- A silent influence on how students learn to think
And all of it happens without visibility.
If AI is shaping thinking, then thinking needs to be the focus.
